Research

Current research (part time PhD candidate at The Royal College of Art in London) uses a mixed methods methodology to explore existing equitable knowledge and behaviours of practitioners in brand identity design in relation to consumer audience experiences. This is to develop a new design approach that can be used to facilitate designers to promote responsiveness, inclusion and diversity and have impact in real world design practice.

— Research interests: Human behaviours (incl. consumer / customer, designers and other stakeholders) that inform design decisions / design influence and its impact / critical reflection and reflexivity (particularly in design) / design practice expertise, knowledge and its utilisation and development, particularly in the ideas generation stages of the design process / empathy and equity in design / socially responsive design / audience theory / brand and brand identity (specifically brand identity design) theory.
